Last year, Dungen released an album called Allas Sak. Now, they've announced a new release called Häxan. The album was inspired by their work on an original score to Lotte Reiniger's 1926 film The Adventures of Prince Achmed. The film is believed to be the oldest surviving full-length animated feature film. The album is an official Record Store Day/Black Friday release. The first song from the record is called âJakten genom Skogen.â Stream it and find the album's tracklisting below. Häxan: 01 Peri Banu vid sjön

Oliveros, Olsen Storesund, Dillan, Storesund Related: A guide to Pauline Oliveros's music One of the great recurring traits in the music of Pauline Oliveros â the 84-year-old accordionist/improviser who in the 80s invented a âdeep listeningâ practice to spur us into âlistening in every possible way to everything possible to hear no matter what one is doingâ â is how she's always a friend to her audience, always aware of how and where and why we might get something from a piece of improvisation. She's also a restlessly alert collaborator, and this release from Norwegian label Atterklang brings her together with some of Norway's most adventurous youngish-generation improvisers: vocalist Lisa Dillan, bass player Ãyvind Storesund and pianist Else Olsen Storesund. It's an album all about plants, seven tracks named after seven northerly flowers, with a delicate Saxifraga Cotyledon (filmy, tentative), a creepy devil's-bit scabious (barbed, nasal), a stoic arctic starflower primrose (gorgeously mulchy sounds from Ãyvind Storesund). In Calluna Vulgaris â purple heather â Oliveros's accordion makes a hardy centrifugal point to skittish textural stuff from the others, but elsewhere she's the one who instigates the flightiest directions of play. In December 2014, Brooklyn rapper Bobby Shmurda was arrested in Manhattan on gang conspiracy and gun and drug charges. City prosecutors alleged that the rapper was the âdriving forceâ and âorganizing figureâ behind a Crips offshoot known as GS9, according to a New York Times profile last year. Shmurda (real name Ackquille Pollard) initially pled not guilty to all charges. Today, Shmurda took a plea deal offered by prosecutors, accepting a seven-year prison sentence, Billboard reports. That is a softer sentence than he might potentially have received in a jury trial, which was set to begin on Monday, September 12. Shmurda and two co-defendants, Chad âRowdy Rebelâ Marshall and Nicholas McCoy, each pled guilty to 4th-degree conspiracy and 2nd-degree criminal weapons possession. The deal bars Shmurda from filing an appeal, but he will reportedly be credited for time served. That means five years are left on his sentence. Under the terms of the deal, Shmurda and the two co-defendants all had to accept it, or else none of them could. Â
